Winter Haul-idays
Today is my last day of my last ever winter break from school. Tomorrow I start my last semester of university ever. It’s crazy to think about, actually. Virtually my whole life has been spent in the school system. I remember important events in my life based on what grade I was in when they happened. And now, in four short months, my school career will be completely over and I’ll be plunged, headfirst, into the adult world.
But enough about that. I thought I’d make a fun little post to show you guys some things I’ve bought recently. :)
As a lover of tea, cute mugs, and Jane Austen, I knew I had to buy this mug as soon as I saw it on Etsy. It features a handwritten quote by Jane Austen, and is my new favorite mug. I keep it by my bedside and drink just about everything out of it.
I have been trying to restrain myself from buying any new nail polish colours, since I already have quite a vast collection. However, I’ve been coveting these shades for a while, and decided to treat myself. The colours I bought are British Racing Green, a gorgeous deep green with just a hint of subtle shimmer; Royal Navy, a beautiful deep navy blue; and Tea With The Queen, a very flattering nude.
And finally, no haul would be complete without some mention of Bath and Body Works, would it? They were having a big semi-annual sale, to get rid of their winter/holiday products and make way for their new spring/summer collections. After trying a variety of holiday candle scents in the small candle size, I decided to purchase Marshmallow Fireside (one of my favorite scents) in the large, 14.5 oz. 3-wick size. It makes the whole room smell so cozy and divine. At cash, I noticed they had some shea-infused slipper socks on sale in a bin, and I thought they were so cute and fuzzy, so I bought a pair of those too. I’m so glad I did – they’re my new favorite thing to wear when I’m lounging about the house.
