Forever 21 Spring Haul
I placed an online order at Forever 21 a short while ago, and it just arrived in the mail. I am head over heels for everything, and can’t wait to start styling these pieces as soon as the weather warms up.
First things first, let’s talk about these sunnies.
I. am. in. love. Colored sunglasses are a great way to add a pop of color and style to an otherwise simple look. These peach, retro cat-eye shades are perfect! You can be sure to spot these in many-a-future outfit of the days, come summertime.
Next up, belts. Having belts in a variety of colors is a styling must. I am growing my collection, because sometimes all an outfit needs is a belt to take it from “meh” to chic. In keeping with spring’s neon and pastel trend, I got one mint skinny patent waist belt, and one neon coral faux leather waist belt.
Don’t these colors just make you dream of warm air and sunshine?
The next thing I got was this cream and black striped boatneck tee. I love thin stripes, I just think they’re so fun and retro, too. The material of this shirt is so soft, it feels like butter.
And doesn’t it look cute with the sunnies? They go with everything!
I’ve been adding more brights to my wardrobe recently, which is perfect for spring. This almost neon coral peplum top is flattering because it accentuates the waist, and you can’t help but feel cheery when wearing such a happy color. I might even play with belting it!
And now, for probably my favorite item of the bunch. (Though those sunnies come close!) This yellow cutout dress. It’s hard to see in the picture, but if you click on the link, you can get a better idea of what the dress looks like on. I wasn’t sure about this item when I ordered it. I decided to buy it just to try it on, because I could easily return it if I didn’t like how it looked on myself. But as soon as I put it on, I was SO GLAD I took a chance and bought it, because it’s my new favorite.
It’s so light and breezy, and very Lolita-like. It looks really lovely belted and with those peach sunglasses, too!
The last item in my online order was this beaded knot headband. (I’d add a link, but it appears it’s no longer on the site.) I just thought it was so pretty, and reminded me of something Serena would wear on Gossip Girl, probably with messy, beachy waves. I plan on wearing it the next time I have somewhere kind of fancy to go!
And finally, these peach “Socialite Studs”. They weren’t part of my online order, but I picked them up in store a few days ago. (For under $5, who could say no?) I wore them to class the other day, and thought they dressed up an otherwise simple blouse and blazer perfectly!
I feel ready for spring! I hope one of these days, the weather agrees with me. xx
