Recipe du Jour: Fruit Infused Water
We all know that water is the healthiest thing for us to drink. Our bodies need water for just about everything. But let’s face it: sometimes water is dead boring. So occasionally, it needs to be dressed up a little.
Enter: fruit infused water! It’s refreshing and just a little bit fruity, while still maintaining the plethora of health benefits water contains. If you’re one of those people who just can’t drink water, then this is the recipe for you.
In classic Sara du Jour style, this recipe is hardly a recipe at all. Simply take whatever fruit you fancy (I picked a kiwi and a handful of raspberries and blackberries), wash them thoroughly, and put them in a glass or pitcher of cold (preferably filtered) water.
I left the berries whole, but sliced the kiwi into thin circles. You could also throw in veggies and herbs, like sliced cucumber or whole mint leaves. The possibilities are endless!
It’s delicious, hydrating, and looks gorgeous too – so it’s a great little idea to serve at parties. If any of your guests are health-conscious, they’ll appreciate this beautiful alternative to soda.
And when you’re done guzzling down the water, you’ll have a nice fruity treat to eat at the bottom of your glass. Bonus! (Straw from here)
If you try this, let me know what your favorite fruit and/or vegetable combination is. Maybe I’ll give your recipe a go! xx
