Nails of the Week: Autumn Editon
Fall is well and truly here. And to celebrate, I’ve transitioned from brights & pastels to dark, rich nail colours, like this one: Nicole by OPI in “Black Cat-Cha Later”. (So spooky.)
I have a love/hate relationship with this polish, and here’s why: the colour is gorgeous, I adore it. And it applies like a dream. But. It. Chips. Like. Crazy.
As in, I just painted my nails before this photo (the night before), and you can already see my pinky nail chipped a little bit in the photo. I had to touch up the polish every night this week, which was a waste of time.
But it’s so pretty! Sigh.
This is as close to black nail polish as I go. It may look black, but it’s actually very, very dark purple with some burgundy shimmer in it which shimmers in the sunlight beautifully.
To me, this is a more sophisticated, grown up alternative to the traditional opaque black mani.
Please excuse the line drawn on my hand. I was swatching an eyeliner at Sephora, and boy does it last! Might have to go back for it.
