Drugstore This & That Haul
As per usual, I went to the drugstore to pick up two things (toothpaste and falsies) and ended up with a full-fledged haul. And so it goes.
Apart from the toothpaste, here’s what I got.
- 2 sets of Quo full strip lashes
- Yes to Cucumbers soothing facial towelettes (x)
- Stylize hair claw clips
- Soap & Glory Scrub Your Nose In It pore cleanser
- The Somerset Toiletry Company’s Strawberry & Papaya shower gel
Normally I can’t be bothered with false lashes, and just load up on mascara instead. But there are a few special occasions each year that I pull out all the stops for, and one of those is…Halloween! (Hint, hint.)
I wasn’t certain which of the two lash styles would suit my costume better, so I got both. Whichever I don’t end up using I can use for my birthday or New Year’s Eve later in the year.
As you now know from my skincare routine, I use these guys to scrub my makeup off each night. I love these wipes and burn through them quickly, but unfortunately I have yet to find them sold in Canada in the larger packs, so I keep having to buy the travel size packs of ten.
Hair clips, because as any woman knows, these (and bobby pins) tend to mysteriously disappear into random chasms around your house.
This was an impulse buy, but since I love Soap & Glory’s Hand Food hand cream, I decided to try another one of their products – this time a cleanser for scrubbing and clearing clogged pores, particularly on your nose and T-zone.
I’ve only used it once so far, so I can’t really speak to the results, but I will say I found it quite strong, and a bit unpleasant to use. (Granted, I have sensitive skin, so if you don’t it might be completely fine!)
At the last minute I remembered I was running low on shower gel at home, so I picked up this one, by The Somerset Toiletry Company. Truth be told, I buy shower gel mostly for its scent and packaging. This one looked pretty and smelled deliciously fruity, and I’m excited to start using it! xx
