New Year, New… Kate Spade Wallet
Let’s rewind back to January first. Back to before we’d broken all of our hopeful resolutions. Back to when we were bright eyed, optimistic, and smelling new beginnings in the air.
That was when this post was supposed to go up. That was also when I turned over a figurative leaf and started my year afresh with a brand spankin’ new wallet. I needed a change…for my change. Y’know? (If you don’t love a good pun, best get out while you can.)
Now, I’d never had a fancy wallet before. I don’t think I’ve ever spent more than $20 on one. But now that I’m feeling all adult-like, I thought it was time to treat myself to a proper, grown-up wallet.
And I had to look no further than Kate Spade. (Ah, how I love thee.) When Cyber Monday rolled around, I snapped up my dream wallet in the big sale.
And here she is! (Look how cute the packaging is – you’ve got to hand it to Kate Spade.)
The box it came in was so cute that I saved it and am using it to store my Essie nail polish collection. Pretty darn handy.
I like big wallets and I cannot lie, so I chose the Kate Spade Cherry Lane Lacey for its size, all around zipper, and multiple card slots inside. Those loyalty cards to every single damn store certainly add up!
The color is called “vivid snapdragon”, and I can say with no exaggeration that every single time I pull it out of my bag, someone compliments it. It makes a cute clutch on a night out, too! (Or would, if I ever deigned to leave the house. Ha.)
Zipper glamour shot, because… you know. Blogger stuff.
The box had neon stripes on the outside and tiny gold polka dots on the inside. I was almost equally excited about the box as the wallet. Much like a 5-year old getting distracted by the tissue paper and ignoring the actual gift.
The back of the wallet has a convenient little slot for anything you want quick access to – also makes for a good handhold to tuck your fingers into if you’re using it as a clutch.
The inside has yet another zipper for the coin compartment, which keeps things nice and organized, and a whole slew of card slots.
They are kind of pricey, so if you’re looking to get one too, I’d recommend waiting for a sale, like I did. If you sign up to their email list you’ll be first to know about them, so you can get the good stuff before it sells out. (I’m not getting paid to say any of this, I just like Kate Spade a lot. And sales.)
If you’re still on track with your resolutions from the New Year, good for you! I’m certainly not. Cheers! xx
