Forever 21 Spring Haul
“Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking.” – The Devil Wears Prada
Spring is finally in the air here in Toronto! Today was the first time I could shed my winter coat and don my sunny yellow trench and Ray-Bans. (Making me look quite a lot like the illustrated icon on the right – the coat is exact!)
I did a spot of online shopping recently, and the other day my package arrived at my doorstep. Oh happy day! I thought I’d share what I picked up, since so many of you requested links to things when I shared photos on instagram.
The first thing is the item I’m most excited about. This feminine floral print dress! Though it’s not quite warm enough to wear yet, I couldn’t resist trying it on at home. I particularly love the length, too – it runs longer than most Forever 21 dresses and hits me right at the knee. (Ow!)
It makes me feel like 1950’s Betty Draper, and I love that. Actually Forever 21 has a whole bunch of really lovely dresses available now – I’m tempted to grab a few more.

The second dress I bought was this body hugging burgundy and black number, with side paneling. I’m always on the lookout for clothes that emphasize the waist, and this one certainly does that.
Unfortunately they seem to have already sold out, but hopefully they’ll get restocked soon. Similar dresses here and here.
Lastly, I couldn’t say no to this beautiful pastel pink and white statement necklace. (US link here)
It will dress up a basic dress or top nicely, or even layered over a collared shirt. A statement necklace can completely change the look of an outfit, so it’s a great option, particularly if you’re on a budget!
