House of Lashes Haul + Review
I’d heard about House of Lashes from the lovely Alexandra on Youtube, and they looked so stunning on her I had to give them a try for myself. After browsing the many options on their site, I ended up choosing three different eyelash styles to try. But before I go into those, let’s take a moment to appreciate the beautiful packaging these come in! (Who doesn’t love great packaging?)
Wrapped in baby pink tissue paper, your goodies come sealed with a gold sticker that says “Lash game strong”. I love pretty little attentions to detail like that.
There’s even confetti in there too, so it really is a lash party in a box.
The lashes are sold both in individual pairs and in packs of three, at a discount. I chose one pack of three, in the style “Siren” {one pair + three pack}, plus one pair of “Starlet” lashes, and one pair of their flagship lash, “Iconic”. Of the three styles, I felt the Siren lashes were the most natural looking, and therefore the most wearable, so that’s the style I chose to get in the pack of three.
House of Lashes “Iconic” (above), and “Siren” (below).
Their lashes are all synthetically made (cruelty-free, yay!) and are apparently so high quality that they can be reused more times than false lashes typically can be – about 10 times or so. To me, this justified the cost.
The Iconic lashes are flared at the outer corners, creating a glamorous, cat-eye effect.
The Siren lashes are more round-shaped and fluttery, giving a doe-eyed effect.
(From top to bottom) House of Lashes Iconic, Siren, and Starlet. Of the three, the Starlet lashes provide the fullest volume – they’re quite va-va-voom and perfect for a pinup look.
I don’t often wear false lashes, as I find them quite a bit of effort, but they really take a makeup look up a notch for a special occasion. I look forward to trying these out this holiday season! With my birthday, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve all around the corner, ’tis the season to party.
