Cocktail Hour: Berry Cream Soda Recipe
This berry cream soda cocktail might be my new favourite drink. It all started when I discovered Galliano Vanilla Liqueur back in December. I love vanilla everything, from perfume to candles to desserts, so I was fairly confident I’d like this stuff, too. My next task was to design a drink that used it. After some experimentation, the Berry Cream Soda was born.
Some people love the taste of alcohol, and enjoy a glass of whiskey or bourbon on the rocks. I’m the total opposite. I like my cocktails as sweet as possible, with the actual alcohol concealed completely. If you’ve got a sweet tooth like me, and like to get your buzzed covertly, then this is the cocktail recipe for you. As the name suggests, it tastes exactly like cream soda! (more…)
Hosting a Christmas Cocktail Party
In December, I decided I would host a Christmas cocktail party for a few good friends from work. I dressed up, got my apartment holiday-ready, made a playlist of my favourite jazzy covers of Christmas classics (mostly Michael Bublé, Ella Fitzgerald, and She & Him), designed a menu of custom cocktails, and laid out a spread of cheeses, charcuterie, fruit, crackers, and more. { See what I wore here. } (more…)
Cocktail Hour: Spiced Rum Apple Toddy
Few cocktails taste so much like Christmas than a spiced rum apple toddy. There are many different takes on hot toddy recipes, but this one’s my personal favourite. Bar Cart Essentials { Home Bar Haul }
Bar carts seem to be popping up everywhere lately, and if you follow me on Pinterest, you know I’ve had my eye on them for quite a while now. I managed to get my own bar cart ready just in time for holiday entertaining. This project was truly a labour of love, from picking out each item, to planning the design of the cart, and finally, actually building the DIY bar cart itself. I am pleased to say that I now have a bar cart in my apartment, and I can’t wait to share all the details with you.

Halloween Cocktail Party
