YourTea Haul and Review
I’ve talked about YourTea briefly in my September/October favourites post. I discovered them last month, and the first time I ordered from them, I tried Tiny Tea (their original product and bestseller) plus Skin Magic Tea and Sleep Tea. This time around, I ordered more Tiny Tea (my absolute favourite – more on that later) and also ventured into one of their café teas: Apple Nut Crumble. Continue Reading →
Breakfast at Tiffany’s Halloween Costume
Halloween is one of the holidays I look forward to most each year. While many people like to embrace all things spooky and dark, I pretty much just love the excuse to dress up as one of my favourite characters. So, maybe that’s not quite the essence of Halloween, but… Continue Reading →
Book Review: Not That Kind of Girl
Perhaps it is because I read this book after reading Alan Cumming’s excellent memoir, Not My Father’s Son, that Lena Dunham’s memoir, Not That Kind of Girl, appears in such harsh contrast to me.
I was eager to pick up this book upon its release and started reading it soon after. It was not a quick read, not because it was excessively long, but because it felt excessively long for what it was. If you’re a reader, you know the feeling of forcing yourself through a book though it feels like wading through molasses. Anyway, for the sake of writing a fair review, I did it. Continue Reading →

Forever 21 Canada (my bae, as we all know) has had so many cute things on its site lately. With the holidays fast approaching, I picked out a few accessories to help me sparkle. I just bought these items recently, and all but one item are still on the site as I write this post. So if you see something here that you absolutely must have, hurry up and grab it before it goes! Here’s what I got. Continue Reading →

Fall MAC Cosmetics Haul
I get kind of dangerous when it’s late at night and I’m home alone. The hairs on the back of my neck stand up, I start to twitch, and before I know it, I’m online shopping. In honour of fall and fall-ing in love with so many autumn beauty trends (like a vampy, dark lip), I did a bit of damage online at MAC. Here’s what I picked up! Continue Reading →
Loving Lately: September/October 2015
I confess, I’m a bit nosey. I absolutely love watching or reading other peoples’ monthly favourites, and discovering great new products and things. It seems only fair that I should share some of my own in return. When I get excited about something – whether it’s a new beauty product, a favourite food, or a show I’ve been obsessing over – I like to share it with everyone I know. If you follow me on instagram, you’ve already had a peek at some of these!
So without any further ado: here’s an extensive list of things I’ve been loving lately. It’s quite long, so feel free to grab a snack or something, and then settle in to scroll. Don’t worry, I’ve sorted it into categories. Continue Reading →
Loving Lately: Beauty Edition
Oh, how I’ve missed you all! To those of you who have been begging me to re-enter the blogging world, thank you. It meant so much to me that you missed my posts. I’ve had a beautiful few months away from the interwebs (though I was still active on twitter and instagram) but I’m back now! I can’t promise that I’ll be posting super frequently, as I don’t want to go back to where I was before – feeling like blogging was a chore I had to do that ate up much of my free time. I want to blog because it brings me joy, simple as that.
With all of that said, here are a few beauty products I’ve been thoroughly enjoying these last few months, from face products to lip products to beauty tools! Continue Reading →
Book Review: The Maze Runner
I’m no stranger to fiction. I know it requires a suspension of disbelief. However, I think The Maze Runner asks its readers for more suspension than is really fair to expect of anyone. Continue Reading →
23 Things I Learned by 23
About two weeks ago, I turned 23. Being 22 was wonderful. It was a year of new experiences, great memories, a few unexpected hurdles, and lessons learned. I’m sure 23 will be the same! A while ago I compiled a list called 22 Things I Learned by 22, and I thought I’d try my hand at it again this year. Here are 23 things I know to be true, so far. Continue Reading →
A 1920s Gatsby Christmas Party
The Roaring Twenties. The Prohibition Era. The Jazz Age. This year, our office Christmas party was 1920s-themed. The invitations were delivered, beautifully designed in Art Deco style. The gentlemen and ladies were instructed to pick an alias and “dress to kill” – we were going to a speakeasy. There would be an open bar, catered food, a casino, and dancing. What better way is there to end the year? Continue Reading →
Book Review: One Day
If I had to sum up One Day in a single sentence, I’d tell you that it’s a story about two people with terrible timing.
Timing matters. I believe that stories need to reach you at precisely the right time – the moment you’re ready to receive them. While many books, films, and shows have come to me at the right moment in my life, this one didn’t. At least not initially. Continue Reading →
