Rifle Paper Co. iPhone Cases

image

These are too cute not to share.

On November 17th, exactly a month away from my birthday, my dad came home with a little present. He told me it was my birthday gift, and that I had a choice: open it now, or wait for my birthday to open it.

It was an excellent exercise in self-restraint and delayed gratification. I decided to be a good girl and wait for my birthday.

Five minutes later I unwrapped it. (Self-restraint was never my strong suit.)

It was a new silver iPhone 5S, which came as a complete surprise to me. (Thanks, papa!) Right after “adkljfladsf!!!!!”, my first thought was, “I need a new case!” Without a case, phones just seem naked to me.

Luckily I knew just where to look. I’d been admiring some of the beautiful case designs at Rifle Paper Co., and this was just the excuse I needed to buy one. Or two.

(You may recognize this instagram snap from a little while ago when they first came in the mail. They arrived beautifully packaged with a little mini magazine, too.)

I couldn’t decide between the Gold Stripes and the Pink Ombré cases, so ended up getting both so that I can switch between them. (Plus, paying for shipping is more worthwhile if you buy more than one item. That’s how I justified it to myself.)

I love how the gold and white one has metallic foil stripes with slightly rustic edges, as though they were brushed on by hand instead of industrially made. Gives such a whimsical appearance.

Same for the pink ombré, the way you can see “brushstrokes”, as though the pink hues were painted on. (They’re both printed though, so it’s an illuuuuuusion.)

If you want to get your paws on the exact same ones, the one on the left is the Slim Gold Stripes iPhone 5+5s Case, and the one on the right is the Slim Pink Ombré iPhone 5+5s Case.

They’re also available for the iPhone 4, 4S, 5C, and Galaxy S4. Check out more of their designs here. My phone is currently wearing the gold one, since my last case was a pink ombre one that I designed, and I wanted a change.

No more naked phone! :) xx
